For seriously – one of the best ever grilled chicken burgers that has a truly amazing crispiness “do yourself a favour” and go to Linea Café at Ramsgate.
Sir and Mlady had a brunch at Linea Café and commenced their meal with the mandatory first cuppa of the day with their usuals – skim flat white one sugar for Sir and a weak soy cappuccino for Mlady. They both went down a treat. So good that Mlady had a second cuppa.
We started with the Greek Plate – eggs your way (we had fried eggs) Mariah olives, feta cheese, gourmet tomato, cucumber, taramosalata and pita bread. How good did this look! This really was a fresh and vibrant plate. Was so appetising and it all tasted so good. Loved the taramosalata and scooping this with the pita bread – nice.
Next came the brekkie burger – egg, bacon, cheese, avocado and choice of sauce (we chose tomato) served on a brioche bun. There was so much on this burger and it was all delicious. The egg and bacon combo that a lot of us love – then add the cheese and avocado with the tomato sauce – delicious. Having all this yummy goodness encased in a lovely soft brioche bun – lovely!
The signature chicken burger was next. We can clearly see why it is a signature dish. It was grilled chicken, rocket, cheese, bacon, tomato, mayo served in a brioche bun with beer battered chips. With the chicken, how do they get the crunch? The meat was so soft and yet the coating was massively crunchy? Amazing! There was also some of the delicious crunchy grilled chicken on the side that you could just simply graze on it. Oh yes – and those chips – thickly cut – loved ‘em! Sir said that this is “probably the best chicken burger”. It really was so good! We just could not get over how good the crunchiness of the burger was and the chicken was beautifully moist. Thoroughly enjoyed this.
Linea Cafe is a place with charm and atmosphere. It's popular too - but this isn't surprising with the food and drinks they offer and the great service.
Sir and Mlady dined as guests of Linea Café. Thank you to Anthony for taking time away from his busy schedule to chat and take care of us.
