TSURU AT HOME - ACROSS SYDNEY

Tsuru at Home
Across Sydney

Ever made your own bao’s at home? It probably seemed too hard. What do you get? How do you do it? Well rest easy, there’s a kit you can get that has everything in it and it’s delivered right to your door!

We tried Tsuru at Home and loved it. Our kit was sealed safely and everything inside was separately sealed again. You can’t be too safe these days and this was super safe! Our kit had 800gm of Tsuru chicken teriyaki, 10 mini bao buns, 2 tubs of Japanese mayo, 1 pack of shredded iceberg lettuce and 1 pack of cut shallots. You don’t have to have chicken though. You can also order black pepper beef, hot and spicy pork belly, teriyaki tofu and last but not least shitake mushroom.

Included in this package were the instructions which were so easy and fun to follow. They were not complicated at all. In fact it was under ten minutes to get it all ready.

Sir was in charge of steaming the buns and what a good job he did! They only took a few minutes in the steamer and really were light and so soft pillows of goodness.

Mlady,  following the instructions, cooked the chicken teriyaki and it caramelised beautifully. The pieces are nicely marinated and small enough to cook quickly so it doesn’t take long before you’re eating! They give you lots of it too. We piled it on our bao’s and still had more than half left for another meal with some hokkien noodles the next day. Good times!

We could not wait to serve and eat! We set it all out on a board all ready to make our bao’s. The last job was easy - assembling them!

Placing the tasty chicken teriyaki on the soft bun, adding the fresh shredded iceberg lettuce, scattering the cut shallots then adding a generous dollop of the Japanese mayo - how good was this!

This lovely fresh flavoured dish was so substantial and, as mentioned before, we even had another meal with the leftovers.

We really recommend Tsuru at Home. The food is fresh, tasty and substantial with easy peasy instructions and another good thing about it is that it does not take long to cook. You’re eating in no time.
