OH MY DAYS - GLEBE, SYDNEY

Oh My Days Vegan Cafe
99 Glebe Point Road
Glebe, Sydney

We both thoroughly enjoyed our vegan fare at Oh My Days Vegan Cafe which is a plant based café. It was so much more than we expected. Their food has such amazing flavours and combinations! The café is deceivingly long with a lovely quaint courtyard out the back. This is where we sat, relaxed and enjoying our vegan experience. You can also book functions in this space and they seat appropriately 55 people.

Sir decided to ‘go healthy’ with his beverage and went with - surprise surprise - a Green Juice. This was refreshingly made up of spinach, celery, kale, apple, lemon and cucumber. There certainly were plenty of greens here and Sir actually really enjoyed it. We may have converted him!

Mlady had her usual weak soy cuppa - a cappuccino - and it was a good coffee!

There were so many wonderful tasty combinations to choose from. We weren’t sure where to start as we would have happily tried them all. Both BIG fans of avocado - there’s a shock - we thought we’d try the Guacamole Y Tolopos. The menu described this as corn chips, guacamole, pebre (a kind of salsa made from onion, peppers, tomato and coriander), cashew sour cream (this certainly sounded different), butternut squash crema and queso. Seriously, this was such an incredibly tasty dish! The cashew sour cream was divine! Mlady could not stop eating this. We would have to say that this was one of the best we have ever had!

Next we had the Sweet Potato Tartine with tomato, avocado and basil. This was such a fresh and vibrant dish with wonderful flavours. The colours gave such a wow factor when it arrived at the table and it tasted just as good as it looked.

We both have a sweet tooth, so we could not go past the Magnum. It’s a specialty of the house here too. It is creamy coconut vanilla ice-cream made from hand-scooped fresh coconuts, gooey caramel, dipped in raw dark chocolate with peanuts. This really was so good and it’s easy to see why this is so heavily ordered here!

The other lovely sweet treat we tried was the Blue Corn and Blueberry Pancakes. Another delicious dish which was made with cashew coconut ice-cream, organic maple syrup and fresh berries. It was not too sweet - it was just right. They were nice soft pancakes too with plenty of fresh fruit.

There are several different areas here too. Starting with a few outside tables, there’s then an indoor bench area with high seats and a set of stairs leading up to a warmly inviting mezzanine level. There’s also a long yellow corridoor leading to their outside courtyards at the back. This is probably the most popular area on a nice day.

Sir and Mlady dined as guests of Oh My Days Vegan Cafe. Special Thank you to Kay for looking after us. Thanks also to Latasha and Thomas. Special thanks to Claire and April from CPM Online Marketing for arranging this visit.
