MULBERRY TREE CAFE | PARRAMATTA, SYDNEY

November 13, 2016

Mulberry Tree Café
5/20-22 Macquarie St
Parramatta, Sydney

For really good coffee and a varied menu that serves some very tasty burgers Mulberry tree Café certainly delivers. The atmosphere is friendly, relaxed and casual. Mlady and Baroness arrived before the lunchtime crowd of which we saw a steady flow of. The feel of the café is industrial – with its exposed pipes and there is a mixture of seats. Spool tables (which are quite unique), stools, high tables and there is also outside seating. They opened in Dec 2015 so it is almost “Happy Birthday”!

They're open from Monday to Friday they open from 7am to 2pm. The kitchen closes at 2pm but the front of house stays open til 3pm. As of Saturday November 12th they will be open on Saturdays from 8am to 3pm. The Saturday menu will be a bit different – but this will be incorporated into the Monday to Friday menu.

Mlady chose from the “Specials” menu – seared salmon with chips and salad. YUM – salmon! Such a winner with Mlady. The salmon was cooked perfectly with such a good crispy skin. Loved the chips and dipping them in the tartare – divine.
The salad mix really was good.  It consisted of colourful lettuce, beetroot, cooked sweet potato, pumpkin and crumbed fetta. Such a great fresh salad with a tasty dressing too. “Fish ‘n chips with salad” – thoroughly enjoyed it!

Baroness had the Portuguese burger – chicken, tomato, Spanish onion, aioli, and peri peri on a milk bun. WOW The burger looked so good and so did the chips. The chips were thick, golden and crispy on the outside and nice and fluffy on the inside. The burger had a nice bite to it. Baroness said “the burger was beautiful”. It had such good tasty flavours and she simply loved the peri peri. It really was a very tasty and substantial meal.

Mlady had to try one of their juices – cold pressed – Detox – Apply, celery, cucumber, kale, lemon and ginger. How delicious was this! So refreshing and incredibly healthy and being “green” – loved it.

Mlady finished her meal with a soy (weak) cappuccino – which she thoroughly enjoyed.

Mulberry Tree Café has a varied menu and serves very tasty fresh meals which are substantial. There is also a good range of fresh juices and of course their coffee is good!

Mlady and Baroness dined as guests of Mulberry Tree Café. Big thank you to Samantha and Sarah for looking after us and chatting with us and also thank you to part owner Victor who took time out from his busy schedule to also chat with us. Special thanks to April from CPM Online Marketing Solutions for arranging our visit.
