FOOGOO RESTAURANT - LANE COVE, SYDNEY

Foogoo Restaurant

Lane Cove, Sydney

What a charming place! Foogoo was a surprise. Nestled in suburban Lane Cove it was simply but nicely fitted out with warm timber throughout. The lights are lovely too creating a pretty glow.

We both love to nibble on prawn crackers. These were clearly freshly made and were a pleasant and tasty surprise.

We grabbed a serving of prawn dumplings. They came to the table hot and steaming with a side of both chilli’s and soy sauce. They really were extremely tasty and disappeared quickly. We also had a couple of glasses of red.

If you love duck and noodles then the wok fried noodles with duck and Chinese cabbage is a dish you should have. The thick noodles come coated in a tasty but subtle sauce scattered with chunks of tender duck meat. It’s a really nice dish!

For something a bit different with a hint of curry flavour we had the Hong Kong style fried noodles. These thin noodles were very tasty and the dish also had plenty of pork, prawns and egg too. It was a hearty dish that was deceptively filling.

Foogoo have a range of specials as well and a substantial menu with plenty of choices for all tastes. At lunch time its a great place to sit, eat and watch the hustle and bustle of the street outside. By night it would simply be relaxed.

Our experience at Foogoo was very good. It’s somewhere we’d gladly revisit for a more substantial meal. The food is great and the service friendly and efficient. The place has a nice feel to it too.
