THE FOX CAFE - WAHROONGA, SYDNEY

The Fox Cafe
178 Fox Valley Rd
Wahroonga, Sydney

Sydney has some great suburban cafes and The Fox Café is one of them. This place is an institution with locals and the many that travel here for great coffee and a tasty feed. It also has a great indoor/outdoor feel with bifold widows opening out onto their alfresco area outside.

We were there for breakfast and Sir ordered one of his go to meals - a bacon and egg roll - or burger as they’re called here. To his delight it was a big one too. The soft brioche bun contained two fried eggs, a pile of crispy bacon, cheese and sauce. A crispy hash brown came as a side serving too. It was huge (even he seemed to struggle a bit towards the end) and very tasty.

They do a great coffee here too. We had our usual brews and they arrived hot and aromatic. We all love a good coffee to start the day and this place hits the spot perfectly.

As it was a day of go-to meals Mlady had scrambled eggs and toast. It was yet another big meal with a pile of nicely scrambled and plenty of toast. She certainly enjoyed it all.

Our third and much more junior reviewer had a lovely serving of pancakes from the kids menu. You get two fluffy pancakes topped with strawberries and banana with a side tub of maple syrup. It was all lightly dusted with icing sugar. Our junior critic loved it!

The Fox Cafe is a surprisingly roomy place. They do a roaring trade for breakfasts, brunch and lunches but their neverending flow of coffee patrons shows just how popular their brews are!

The Fox Cafe is a place you can visit and revisit regularly. There’s plenty on the menu to mix it up and their coffee is something that will certainly get you returning.
