LA RENAISSANCE PATISSERIE & CAFE - THE ROCKS, SYDNEY

La Renaissance Patisserie & Cafe
47 Argyle St
The Rocks, Sydney

This is a quaint place. It seems much smaller than it actually is - as it has a lovely courtyard out the back if you cant grab one of the few tables out the front. We were lucky though and had ringside seats on the street to watch the world go by.

The food is displayed just inside the doorway and that's where you order both food and drinks.

We were after a coffee or two and had been browsing in The Rocks so it was great to find this busy place.

After ordering our coffees and before they arrived I couldn't resist grabbing a couple of macarons.

The final choices were passionfruit chocolate and rose.

The passionfruit chocolate was a great combination that we hadn't tasted before. The slightly bitter passionfruit flavour blended nicely with the rich chocolate. Such a great partnership.

The rose tasted like Turkish delight - and looked like it as well. As a lover of Turkish delight this was an added bonus.

La Renaissance is a nice place to watch the world go by or to sit in the rear courtyard on a fine day and just relax.
