Toco Fresh is a popular venue and not just for the regular crowd popping in for fresh, tasty and nutritious meals. We saw a group of bike riders take a much needed rest for a “re-fuel” in the lovely outdoor area out the front.
Being the most important coffees of the day, form our firsts we had our regulars. Sir had his skim flat white and Mlady her weak soy cappuccino. These brews use coffee from the Grounds and were a good start to our very tasty breakfasts.
Sir is a pork fan, so it was no surprise that he eyed off the Texas Eggs Benny. This was served with a smokey bernaise and a choice of either chorizo, brisket or pork belly - and of course he went with the pork belly. This really was a very tasty dish. It was also a generous serving and you could certainly taste that lovely smokiness in the bernaise. The eggs were just as he liked them and all that eggy goodness oozed out as he cut into them. The pork belly was delicious and cooked perfectly. Sir thoroughly enjoyed this brekkie!
Mlady also indulged in a Smoothie. After much deliberation she chose the Berry Best. Mlady loves her berries, so this was a great choice. It was mixed berries, banana, chia seeds, ice cream, light milk and ice. The colour was a glorious bright purple and it tasted so good. It was lovely and thick but not too thick where you could not get anything up into the straw. The berries, combined with all the other yummy ingredients, were just so Delish! It was an amazingly refreshing smoothie and yet another great way to start the day!
Mlady is a bit of an omelette fan so she was eyeing the MYO Omelette. This generous serving consisted of an omelette with your choice of 3 fillings from bacon, chorizo, ham, avocado, fetta, kale, spinach, onion and tomato. Mlady - a lover of greens - went with avocado, kale and spinach. This green combo really went so well together. The vibrancy of the greens combined with the egg made for a very scrumptious breakfast. It was served on toasted sourdough. Mlady loved it.
Toco Fresh serve delicious fresh meals that are very substantial. Their coffees and smoothies are great too! The menu is varied with interesting memorable names for dishes, such as Gym Junkie, Not Yo’ Average and The Dirty Bird to name a few. There is something for everyone to enjoy.
