STANTON & CO - ROSEBERY, SYDNEY

Stanton & Co
34 Morley Ave
Roseberry, Sydney

Located in a completely refurbished warehouse space on level 1 of The Cannery, Rosebery, is the warm and inviting Stanton & Co. We were lucky enough to join Stanton & Co to celebrate the establishments 1st birthday and launch of their new menu. It was a night filled with great food and delicious cocktails in a relaxed atmosphere.

We were welcomed into the venue with a vibrant cocktail of Roku gin, yuzu juice and blackberries, and a beautiful evening sunset flooding through the abundant windows - the perfect midweek pick-me-up!

Pre-dinner canapes included smokey soy and natural oysters as well as crab tacos. The tacos were crisp, mini shells filled with sweet Spanner Crab meat, avocado and tobiko, a flying fish roe.

After spending some time mingling and enjoying a couple of drinks of the sun-soaked balcony, we were seated to enjoy a shared feast.

The first dish brought to the table was fresh, rich salmon ceviche topped with a dollop of creme fraiche and served with a side of purple potato crisps. This dish was the perfect combination of fat, salt, acid and crunch!

Next up was a creamy burrata cheese with green tomatoes and salsa verde. Such a simple yet flavourful combination of quality ingredients.

The first warm dish was jamon and mozzarella croquettes. These cheesy little balls of goodness were paired perfectly with an aioli dipping sauce. A delicious option for any cheese lovers!

The main was an extravagant crispy pork knuckle dressed with the venue’s signature seeded soy mustard, with sides of truffled mash and charred broccolini with lemon garlic emulsion. The pork was crackly on the outside and tender on the inside - absolutely melt-in-your-mouth. The creamy mash packed the perfect punch of truffle flavour, and the greens added a fresh touch. This dish was so hearty and homey, and definitely something to share with family or friends.

Dessert was a butterscotch mousse with cherries and banana ice cream, topped with a slightly bitter toffee shard. There was such a balance of sweet and tart flavours in this dish, and we just couldn’t get enough.

It was such a pleasure to celebrate such a milestone event with the team at Stanton & Co, and the latest additions to the menu certainly did not disappoint! The evening was a feast for the senses and we just can’t wait to visit again. Special thanks to the Parlour Group and Stanton & Co for this invitation. Thanks also to Amy from Original Spin for arranging this invitation.
