What an amazing and fun night we had at Spring Street Social! Hosted by Hungry Diner Mick Teasdale, who really knows how to put on a sensational show, the vibe really was buzzing and everyone had an absolute ball.

Spring Street Social caters to a range of different choices. It’s a cocktail bar, a restaurant and a club and a live music venue all in one. It’s located in the busy Spring Street and it’s deceptively big as you discover when you descend the stairs - you could almost say the venue is ‘cavernous’. It’s been so well fitted out though that they’ve created spaces everywhere for whatever you want!

We were fortunate to attend and experience this lovely place, after it had been refitted, for the launch of their delicious new Asian fusion menu.

When you walk in you immediately sense an old world charm mixed with modern. It’s ambiance is cosy and relaxing with lovely leather lounges. This is a place to settle in and enjoy for a while! There are stunning old photos scattered all around the wall and there is an amazing brick bar with exposed bricks.

A movie was playing on the wall which added to the whole feel of the place too. There was also live music from Gang of Brothers which we all enjoyed and people were up dancing.

Then we were all so fortunate to experience a guest appearance by Timomatic himself. What a performer! He sang, he danced and he really did entertain!

Chef Kago Fong has created a visually divine menu that has great combinations which are so full of flavour. There are lot’s of different dishes available, each with their own blend of great colours and tastes.

With our very tasty treats we both had plenty of the free-flowing Mumm champagne that was on offer. It’s such a lovely drop! We also had some of their rose champagne as well as some lovely red - Shiraz - which complimented our food so well.

Mlady also had her fave cocktail - a Cosmopolitan. Oh boy did she enjoy this. One of the best. They really know how to make a good Cosmopolitan here.
