Limani Seafood restaurant is popular and you can feel that there is a real β€œbuzz” here.  It is an airy venue with fine dining dΓ©cor.

The menu is extensive. Lots of seafood dishes, Greek dishes, a good selection of beverages – cocktails, wine, beer, spirits, juices, ciders, liqueurs, teas, liqueur coffee’s – the list is endless!

To drink we had cocktails. Sir had a classic – a Mojito and Mlady had a lychee daiquiri. Both were refreshingly yummy. The daiquiri was huge and there was a nice plump juicy lychee perched on top.

Our entrΓ©e was duck liver parfait with sour cherry chutney and toasted bread. Well – this was a winner. Sir loves duck of all shapes, sizes and manner and Mlady loves her chutneys. How good was this! The duck liver partnered with the sour cherry was a nice combination. The parfait was sweet – but not sickly sweet and teamed with the sour cherry – this all went well together. It was a generous serving too. This dish we both loved – very tasty.

For our main we had the Limani seafood platter (minimum 2 people). How impressive and spectacular was this! There were – natural half western Australian rock lobster, fresh prawns, trio of Sydney rock oysters, smoked salmon, baby octopus vinaigrette, grilled bass strait scallops, grilled barramundi, grilled salmon, bbq king prawns, Moreton Bay bugs, salt and pepper squid, chips, Greek salad, home- made dipping sauces and followed by a seasonal fruit plate. (We did not have the fruit plate as we were too full).

Seriously – this was a true work of art! One of the best seafood platters ever – for presentation AND taste.  There was a problem though – where to start? So much to choose from and we almost did not want to break up the amazing display. As we are both seafood lovers it didn't take us long to start though - and WOW. Such a magnificent seafood feast!  Mlady got carried away with eating the lobster and almost forgot to share. Everything was so fresh, vibrant and appetisingly good! The skin was crispy (just as Mlady likes it) on the barramundi – lovely. Dipping sauces were oh so good. Presentation of these in shells went perfectly with the β€œtheme”. We had a bowl underneath this beautiful display – to deposit our shells – which was replaced regularly.  Also we had hand towels too.

Sir throughout the night also drank a cradle Verdelho and a beautiful dessert wine – a Samos Muscat.

We did manage to fit in dessert. Sir chose the β€œSpecial” – chocolate brownie with vanilla bean ice-cream and Mlady had the Toblerone pate served with caramel sauce, honeycombe gelato and crushed peanuts. Oh they were both pure heaven. The brownie was soft and moist with a great chocolate flavour and the vanilla ice-cream went so well with it. Yum the toblerone! So nice – loved the amazing honeycombe gelato and mixing this with the crushed peanuts – so good!

Limani has amazing seafood with a Greek influence also showing through on their menu. It's a place and a meal you won't forget in a hurry - for all the right reasons.

Sir and Mlady dined as guests of Limani Seafood restaurant and Peter Kritsotakis. Thank you to Hugo and Natasha for taking care of us on the night. Big thank you to Jim the founder for chatting with us. Special thanks to Chrissy Symeonakis of Creative Little Soul for arranging this visit.
