KURTOSH - DARLINGHURST, SYDNEY

These tasty bread-like, pastry-like spiral treats are certainly popular across Sydney. They do a roaring trade, especially at night when the munchies hit. These are Hungarian in origin, but for us they're reminiscent of the trdelniks we had in Prague. In reality they are extremely similar so it's understandable.

Kurtosh have a few varieties of these, but for us the original cinnamon and sugar ones are still our go to choice. We love peeling away the strips and devouring them while still steaming hot. It's a great way to get a late sugar hit. They do have a lot more here though, like their other cakes, pastries and cookies.

They even had some seriously good looking palmiere's. These are a favourite and looked so flaky and tasty - a must for us for next time!

They also serve coffee and a few drinks here too. The coffee area is up the back of the place so don't fret if you're after caffeine too and don't see it straight away.

They do dine in or take away too. Our treat was made to order as well, and it was worth the short wait for this to happen. Fresh is best!

We love these things and only hope they keep spreading their wings with even more outlets. Bring it on!
