CAMINETTO ITALIAN RESTAURANT - THE ROCKS, SYDNEY

Caminetto Italian Restaurant

While an Italian restaurant isn’t always the most likely place to end up at for breakfast, it was in fact exactly where we ventured. That said, plenty of Italian restaurants in Sydney do open their doors for breakfast on weekends at least and often weekdays too.

Sir was after something substantial to set him up for the day - well that was his excuse/reasoning anyway! He ordered two eggs on toast with a side of bacon. He went for fried eggs but they’re also available poached or scrambled too. It ticked the box of a hearty meal with two fried eggs, plenty of bacon and two pieces of toast.

M’Lady more conservatively just went for toast with toppings. Two hefty pieces arrived with a bowl of different toppings to choose from. It was a simple start to the day that still hit the spot.

Of course breakfast or brunch means coffee time too. We eagerly ordered these and they arrived quickly which was certainly appreciated.

While there is indoor seating the most popular places are outside. It’s an Italian restaurant for lunch and dinner but an Italian cafe for breakfast and brunch. The red and white tablecloths give it great atmosphere and it all has a lovely relaxed feel.
