The weekend café trip for brunch is something of an institution these days. We love it. The day starts with a bit of a sleep in then lazily wander off to grab something tasty to eat mid/late morning. Invariably it will take you through till dinner if it’s substantial. It was one of these days and we were at Thyme Square.

Eggs Benny for a weekend brunch? Yes please! The Famous Eggs Benedict comes with two poached eggs on toast slathered in a rich Hollandaise sauce and your choice of either leg ham, bacon, mushroom and spinach or smoked salmon. The last one was clearly where we went. It was a big start to the day for Sir and tasty too.

Mlady grabbed a ham and cheese croissant. It was huge too. It arrived nicely toasted and filled with tasty ham and cheese. The croissant itself was beautifully flaky too.

We also had a couple of morning brews. They arrived promptly after we had ordered them and they were both nice and hot.

Theres plenty of space here with an inside area and a decent al fresco are out the front. The outside area is popular on fine days but we headed inside to escape the cold.

We left very full and satisfied. The servings are substantial here at Thyme Square and the food was tasty. On a day with better weather it would have been nice outside in their covered al fresco area.
