TWIST ESPRESSO & WINE - DEE WHY, SYDNEY

Twist Espresso & Wine
23 Howard Ave
Dee Why, Sydney

Taking advantage of the beautiful warm weather we headed off to Dee Why to take in the sights and do a spot of shopping. We wanted a good brekkie to set as up for our trek and discovered Twist located in a good position to sit, relax and enjoy before the retail onslaught.

Needing our all important coffees, Sir had his usual- a skim flat white - and Mlady had her weak (half strength) soy cappuccino.

Twist have a good varied menu but after much deliberation Mlady went with Toast 3 spoons. The choice of bread was Sourdough or Ciabatta and Mlady chose Sourdough. This was effectively a tasting plate of three jams which were fig and lemon jam, orange marmalade and plum jam. The presentation of this brekkie was so cute and the jams looked really tasty sitting in their own individual spoons. Mlady really enjoyed this, especially the marmalade as she likes this with rind.

No surprises, Sir chose the Brekky Roll. This is pretty much his ‘go to’ - well one of them! With this scrumptious bacon and egg roll you could choose either tomato sauce, BBQ sauce, chipotle mayo or aioli. Sir had the tomato sauce. You could add cheese or smashed avo and of course he went with the Avo. When his brekkie arrived, the aroma was amazing plus it was also visually appealing. This breakfast certainly did the trick to fuel him up for the day.

Twist Espresso & Wine is a pleasant cafe on Sydney’s Northern Beaches with a nice indoor/outdoor feel to it. The covered front verandah is the prime spot to be and table there go fast. We were lucky enough to be out there when we visited.
