LANE COVE'S FOOD & WINE BY THE RIVER - BURNS BAY RESERVE, RIVERVIEW, SYDNEY

Lane Cove’s Food & Wine By The River
Now at Burns Bay Reserve
Riverview, Sydney

It’s festival season and isn’t it great! What better way to spend a weekend day than browsing some great stalls, sipping some great wines and grabbing a tasty bite in a lovely setting - in this case by the beautiful Lane Cove River. This year Lane Cove Food & Wine By The River will be on Sunday 6 November at Tambourine Bay Reserve starting at 11am and flowing through till 5pm. This year again it’s sponsored by Lane Cove Council and there will be a stack of stalls showcasing the great wines from the Mudgee Region.

We love visiting Mudgee. We used to go every year when they had Mudfest - a short film festival where you watched the movies in a winery field - Bunnamagoo to be precise and they’re here in Lane Cove this weekend. We also combined this with plenty of Cellar Door visits as there are heaps of wineries in the Mudgee area. It’s also a foodie paradise too - but that’s for another post!

Tickets are for sale in advance on the Visit Mudgee website (click here) or you can get them on arrival. It’s only $25 too and for this you get a souvenir tasting tumbler and five tasting tokens. Of course, you can buy more tasting tokens if needed. If you prepurchase your ticket, then you can grab your tumbler and tokens from the Mudgee Wine marquee, but please bring your ticket confirmation and photo ID.

We’re going for the wine, but we’ll definitely also be tasting the jams, oils, olives, cheese, molasses, relish and anything else going! In addition to live entertainment this family-friendly event includes free face painting and games for the kids and, as long as dogs are on a leash, they can come too!

Food and Wine by the River is a licensed event with no BYO or glass permitted.

Food and Wine by the River is also the signature event of the annual Lane Cove Festival by the River, which runs from 1 – 13 November 2022. You can find out more about the program here.

There will be a free shuttle bus running from Lane Cove Library down to the event so you can leave the car at home.

We’re very pleased to be partnering with Lane Cove Council to share the details of this festival. We’ll be there strolling around, sipping and nibbling and enjoying the whole experience. Hope to see you there too!
