Gelato Messina - two wonderful words made even better when put together. Their reputation has spread far and wide They have outlets all over the place - including inside The Star at Pyrmont. It’s a very busy place too feeding the masses before and after shows at The Lyric Theatre as well as those just passing by.
The hardest thing about this place is what to choose. There are so many different flavours of gelato and sorbet - some of the usuals and some quite unusual. Then there are their cakes and desserts. It’s not a big part of this particular outlet but they are there.
We had double scoops - of course. One combination was chocolate and vanilla and the other was cookies and cream and tiramisu. They were all delicious. They do it all so well here. There are tables nearby in case you don’t want to eat while wandering. We grabbed a booth and settled in to indulge. It certainly hit the sweet spots!
The queues move ata a good pace here but they can get busy very quickly as well. If you’re planning a bite and the queue is short or non-existent don’t hesitate. Seize the moment!
We’ll always seek out a Gelato Messina if there’s one in the area. It’s a smart move having one here at The Star just outside the Lyric Theatre. It’s always busy and for good reasons!
