We were in Hornsby and in the mood for dumplings so we dropped by, or in to, Dumplings & Co.inside Westfield Hornsby for a bite of lunch. This cosy place has a range of tables inside as well as some outside - but still in the shopping centre. They also do a busy trade in take away too.
There is so much to choose from here, plus a lot of the dishes have pictures on their menu so you can see exactly what you are going to get. It does help take some of the uncertainty out of the choice equation!
Dumplings are a big fave of both of us and we ordered a good cross section. From the Shanghai Style menu we had the pork wontons in tangy chilli sauce. These looked and tasted good. The chilli level was just the right amount, a good hit but not overpowering. We both enjoyed this dish.
Perusing the menu, we thought we would have a variety and spotted the mixed dumpling platter. This way we got to try a bit of variety. The steamed platter had dim sim’s, prawn and chive dumplings and vegetarian dumplings. We were hard pressed to pick a favourite out of these as they were all nice.
Our last dish was the honey soy eggplant. How good were these! They had a mouth watering flavour with a crispy battered coating outside and a soft centre. These were so moreish!
For drinks we both had a refreshing lemon lime and bitters which went very well with our meal.
This is a welcome spot to grab a quick meal in Hornsby while out shopping. The food arrives quickly and there is plenty of variety available to choose from at reasonable prices.
