BAY VISTA - PARRAMATTA, SYDNEY

Bay Vista Dessert Bar and Café
330 Church St
Parramatta, Sydney

You can’t miss this place – it’s big and brassy and right in the middle of Parramatta CBD. This one is a fairly new sister café to the well-known Brighton Le Sands outlet which has been trading since 1991. The grand street frontage with outdoor seating flows though to a spacious and modern interior with dessert stations around the sides. Quite impressive! There is also an upstairs mezzanine level with more intimate booth and table seating.

The menu is extensive and inviting, with special emphasis on decadent desserts of all imaginable kinds. Choose from waffles and pancakes, ice creams and sorbets, cakes, scrolls and cheesecakes, soft-serve and frozen yoghurt! Share a chocolate fondue or cake and waffle combo. Sweet and savoury crepes come with tempting toppings and there are even breakfast and light lunch options if you need a meal. The choice is fantastic.

We struggled to choose so we opted for both savoury and sweet. The “Ohh My Avo!” On Toast with a side of crispy bacon was divine. Two lovely oozy poached eggs on smashed avo toast done to perfection!

The Sweet French Toast was next on the list. It had lashings of maple syrup on top of banana and crispy bacon. It was generous and indulgent.

Who can resist a soft sweet scroll? Well we didn’t. The warm cinnamon scroll was served with vanilla ice cream, crispy chocolate pearls and a choice of pouring sauce. Fountain chocolate, butterscotch, white choc, premium caramel, Nutella or maple syrup! We decided on butterscotch and poured it all over. It was truly heavenly and we just couldn’t stop ourselves.

Bay Vista is open every day from 10am until midnight and would be such a great place to visit after a movie or night out - it’s quite an experience.
