MS. G'S - POTTS POINT/SYDNEY

Ms. G's
115 Victoria St
Potts Point

It was some concern that we went to an Asian restaurant that had the letters MSG in its name - and only those letters. Nevertheless, Ms. G's serves amazing Vietnamese fusion food tucked away in Potts Point. It opens at 5:30pm and can get crowded very quickly.
We started with mini bánh mì. There are two different ones to choose from - crisp pork belly or chicken katsu. We had a different one each and they were both amazing - and only cost $6.50 each.

Next up was the egg noodles with XO sauce, braised duck, soft poached egg. The picture doesn't do it justice because i got carried away and blended the egg in before taking the photo - curse my appetite! The rich egg yolk added a smooth texture to the noodles. The rich duck and tangy XO sauce added depth and flavour. It was a great combination that we devoured - and it was only $18.

We then had the Vietnamese curry of wagyu beef shin served with a baguette. The wagyu was so tender as it had cooked for six hours. It basically melted when touched. The curry was thin and full of flavour and the baguette went surprisingly well too. This was only $25.

The decor inside Ms. G's is eclectic. Its an experience in its own right with intricate walls, quirky decorations and an abundance of rope - possibly for just hanging around (bad pun I know).

Our meal, with rice and two glasses of red was only $76 - good value for the quality and quantity we had.
Ms. G's is one of Sydneys better restaurants. Its quirky inside and has some amazing food available. You wont regret it if you go there.
