Where's the best value chicken schnitzel in Canberra? The answer is (probably) the Canberra Labor club in Civic!


We know this is a perennial question that's challenged and perplexed many a person. Well ponder no more.


Best Schnitzel in Canberra? Maybe!

 Yes - we all have different ideas on what makes the perfect chicken schnitzel. Mine (for what its worth) involves a crisp and golden but not overcooked crumb coating that's not overly thick but completely covers the entire piece of meat. It can't have separated from the meat during the cooking process. The chicken needs to be cooked but juicy and tender and not to thick or thin.



Grab a window view seat.



Sir was without M'Lady for this venture. The schnitzel here meets all the tests and also comes with chips and salad (no great surprise here) BUT

it only costs a tiny $7.90 on Tuesdays. An added bonus is that drinks are also at low club prices! If you're lucky you can grab a window seat and watch the world go by - looking out over the mall and towards the well known merry-go-round there.

I suspect there are other good schnitzel deals around Canberra, but it would be hard to find a better deal for a better schnitzel than this one!
