You can taste the incredibly tasty Blazin’ Combo from May to June at any participating Slim’s Quality Burger location. We experienced the delicious Blazin’ Hot Chicken Burger and their tasty Inferno Fries at their Sydney CBD venue up on Level 5 of Westfield Sydney.
Nik Rollison Co-founder and Director of Slim’s Quality Burger and Chef and Director of Food Greg Engelhardt have bought the great flavours of Americas South to Australian customers. This is a venture that prides itself on using quality ingredients and freshly making everything. It shows too!
For drinks we had their cool and refreshing Cherry Limeade. This had the inclusion of freshly squeezed lime and was perfect with what was to come. It’s a refreshing tangy drink that really goes down nicely.
Before we sampled the Blazin’ Hot chicken Burger we had a tasting of a deconstructed chicken burger - just to tease our tastebuds! This had a really good kick (spicy) and the tangy coleslaw was lovely and fresh with a nice crunch that complemented the spicy chicken.
What a great taste sensation the Blazin’ Hot Chicken burger was! This incredible burger is cooked in a way that achieves a gorgeous moistness. It’s because it’s never frozen and is hand crumbed. Then it’s flash fried and then dunked again. Finally, it gets a dusting of their signature cayenne spice blend and is then finished with a spritz of pickle brine.
To complete the burger itself, it’s then topped with pepper jack cheese, spicy mayo, coleslaw and Gambino NY Bronx pickles. All of this sits nicely in a freshly baked and toasted potato bun.
It had so many wonderful flavours that just all went so well together. We both thoroughly enjoyed the Blazin’ Hot Chicken burger and will be heading back for more soon while this deal lasts!
How good too were the Inferno fries. These are sprinkled with Himalayan pink salt and topped with shredded cheddar cheese. There’s also spicy mayo and pickles. To ensure that the signature cayenne spice dust sticks to the fries, a spray of pickled brine is added. It’s a wonderful flavour bomb in your mouth!
We can’t remember the last time we had a thick shake - but that was about to change. We both shared a vanilla thick shake and a chocolate thick shake. Seriously - we were hard pressed picking a favourite as these were both really good.
Slim’s Quality Burger has plenty of different burgers to choose from also with lots of combo deals. To name a few there is - Slim’s Original, Bacon works, Veggie burger and crispy chicken and cheese. There’s also a kids combo and a family pack and salads too.
There’s also extras that include beetroot relish, jalapeño peppers and grilled onion. You can also get a gluten free bun. There are plenty of sauces to choose from including honey mustard spread, hot sauce and BBQ sauce. Choices, choices, choices!
