This is an accomodation oasis nestled in the picturesque Hunter Valley. These cottages and lodges are so nice we just had to share this place. It’s a boutique set up with three cottages and two lodges with two bedrooms each so the place will never be crowded. They are all nicely spaced out too with plantings creating great privacy. It really is such idyllic place. The showpieces are the views and of course the wood fireplaces inside.
Our cottage had everything we needed. The living area had a lovely couch looking straight at the fireplace and a small but very functional kitchen area with a full complement of pots, pans, plates cutlery etc. The separate bedroom area opens on to the living area with two large sliding doors creating an opoen plan feel to the whole cottage. It also had those magnificent views out from both the living area and the large bedroom.
The surrounding countryside here is spectacular. You look out over sprawling grass lawns and across to vineyards and mountains in the distance. There’s also plenty of local wildlife just outside Berenbell.
Of course, the local area is wonderful too. The Hunter Valley is such a lovely place. There are so, many things to do. The vineyards are great but it’s also a foodies paradise. There are restaurants and cafes as well as delicious produce from cheese and olives through to jams, oils and preserves. While wine dominates the area, there are also distilleries and even a great cider producer too. And lets not forget the regular concerts that happen nearby!
Berenbell Vineyard Retreat is such a great spot to base yourself for a weekend or longer in the Hunter Valley. The cottages and lodges are very pleasant inside and the views and location are wonderful.
