SUSHI HUB | CENTRAL, SYDNEY

Sushi Hub
Shop 2/815-825 George St
Haymarket, NSW

Sushi Hub looks like a typical sushi restaurant - it has a sushi train, order off the menu options and also a little shopfront where customers can purchase take away. However walk in and take a seat and the good vibes music and colourful wall art turn it into a pretty hip place to be. Located right near central, close to universities, the crowd is pretty young.

The menu is extensive, with all kinds of options for sushi lovers. We ordered some sake to start off our evening, which was a great sip.

First up was seared salmon and scallop sashimi, coated in Japanese sauce and mayo with shallots. This was fresh and full of flavour. Just how it should be! Next was the grilled salmon dragon sushi with crab stick. This delicious combo was a very tasty morsel and we would have eaten them all night if we could.

The sushi sandwich was a highlight - this unique offering was a twist on the standard sushi. Shaped like a sandwich, this was filled with salmon, avocado and sweet egg. This was super yum, full of flavour. Quite easy to eat too!

Throughout the rest of the night we had inari filled with crab stick, lobster, abalone, seaweed and octopus. All great flavour combos, our favourite was the lobster. We also enjoyed crab nigiri, tempura prawn, fried veggie sushi which were amazing. We loved the tempura prawn, the right amount of rice to offset it.

We also had mini sushi full with salmon cream cheese, salmon with avocado, tuna with cucumber, and chicken avocado. All fresh and tasty, we certainly saw all the variety available at Sushi Hub.

Duke and Duchess dined as guests of Sushi Hub. Big thanks for their hospitality on the night, and special thanks to Mike and Tony from the bargain restaurant food site Ompty.com for organising our visit.
