Hunter & Barrel is a lovely venue. Apart from the obvious - Location, Location, Location - the venue itself is chic with cute comfortable booths and a lovely leafy outside area to sit, relax and enjoy your meal. We were there for a roaming evening and this was our starting venue.

This almost vat-like cheese dip was simply so yummy. Cheese lovers will be in pure heaven! The grilled flatbread was soft - and dipping into the cheesey cheese - lovely. We had way too much of this to start with!

AHHH - these cocktails - Pickled Jalapeno Margaritas. They looked so good and refreshing and they were, but wait til you try one! WOW! They did have a bit of a “kick” to them. Mlady just had to try one. It was a nice cocktail with a good “Kick”.

The spicy calarmari was divine!. Sir and Mlady love their seafood and this dish was soft, tender, juicy and the spice was just right. We loved this dish. The chicken pieces were just as good. Tender juicy chicken with a crispy coating is such a winner.

Oysters - what can we say. We love ‘em! These were Pacific oysters with lime gin granita. Oysters with citrus - what better way to go! The chilled tangy granita went so well with these tasty bivalves.

These tasty skewers were grilled octopus with potato. The octopus was nice and tender and came with potato. You might think it’s an unusual combination, but it worked so well. Then there was a rum based cocktail which was right up Sir’s alley. He loves his rum so he headed straight for this cocktail. Apart from looking lovely and bright - it also tasted really good.

Their version of Bruschetta were tasty morsels covered in greenery that were hard to put down.

Hunter & Barrel is a very comfortable venue to sit and enjoy a variety of really good food. What we experienced was very tasty and fresh accompanied with imaginative cocktails. Their menu is diverse and varied with something for everyone.

Sir and Mlady visited as guests of Hunter & Barrel. Special thanks to the team at Twentieth Letter for arranging this visit.
