Being at Angelo’s Cabarita conjures up visions of relaxation. You are situated on a beautiful Bay it really is easy to just sit back and enjoy. It oozes relaxed sophistication and is ideal for groups and functions.

Sir started with a dry martini – with a twist which Sir really enjoyed. Mlady had an old favourite – Tempranillo.

A lovely assortment of warm breads, evo and aged balsamic whetted our appetites.

The steak tartare was excellent! It was pasture-fed beef, quail egg, Dijon, cornichons, pane carasau and the seasoning was divine. Sir made the comment that it was up with the Steak Tartare he regularly eats in Paris!

Next we had the dry-aged Yellowfin tuna, avocado and lime mousse, avruga caviar, sorrel leaves. This was cool, refreshing with really great flavours that tasted so good. As we know Mlady loves her seafood so this dish was certainly a stunning winner.

We then had the Fremantle octopus leg, romesco, crumbled almond. The octopus leg was perfectly cooked, so soft and tender and the crumbled almond complimented it superbly. It was a lovely mixture of soft and delicately crumbled almond.  A really good taste sensation and total food art.

Sir decided on a nice Marlborough pinot gris and Mlady had another tasty Tempranillo.

For a main we had the Royal blue potato gnocchi, confit garlic, sweet peas, salted ricotta, chives. Absolutely Delicious! Loved everything about this. The beautiful soft gnocchi was divine with just a hint of the confit garlic and oh yes the sweet peas. Sweet peas and gnocchi – such a perfect match!

The cold seafood plate was next. This consisted of oysters natural, king prawns, smoked salmon, whole lobster. Yum, Yum and yum. Squeezing lemon juice on the oysters - nice, mouth-watering juicy tasty lobster, smoked salmon – lovely, prawns in avocado – how good was this!
Being huge fans of all things seafood this substantial seafood plate ticked all the boxes!

We were able to fit in dessert. Sir had a classic - Tiramisu which was seriously good. It was so soft, light and had wonderful flavours. Such a popular delectable dessert.

Mlady had Trio of Sorbet which was so tasty, colourful and refreshing.

We finished with another favourite – Limoncello which we thoroughly enjoyed. This was a lovely way to end an incredibly delicious meal.

The food at Angelo’s Cabarita is truly divine. With wonderful fresh flavours and tasty combinations, the dishes are also “works of art” and the servings are substantial. Their lovely views are a bonus as well.
