STAVES BREWERY | GLEBE, SYDNEY

Staves Brewery
4-8 Grose St
Glebe, Sydney

Are you a craft beer fan? If you are, then you’ll be happy to hear there’s a place you can enjoy amazing craft beer, right in the heart of Sydney. Situated in Glebe in a quaint laneway, it's an impressive two storey venue with a lovely beer garden at the back. The owner, Steve Drissell, a certified brewer, opened this fine establishment in October 2015.

Staves Brewery has a wide variety of high quality craft beers on offer. Most of them are from local breweries, from places like Sydney’s Five Dock, but others, still Australian, come from the impressive west coast. Soon Staves Brewery will be brewing right on the premises.

Count N particularly liked the Batch Peach Sour, a handcrafted beer from the Batch Brewing Co. It tasted a bit like a cider with a strong full bodied taste. Count J on the other hand, rather enjoyed The Feral Hop Hog IPA, a pale ale from the Feral Brewing Co in Baskerville.

But don't worry, if you are not too sure which beer to choose, Staves Brewery has you covered. You can order a tasting paddle so you can try five of them in one go.

The Counts, who review for Sir and Mlady Dine Out, visited as guests of Staves Brewery. Special thanks to owner/brewer Steve Drissell for sharing his vision and knowledge. Big thanks to Claire McPherson of CPM Online Marketing for this invitation.
