PABLO - HAYMARKET, SYDNEY

Pablo
605 George St
(On Goulburn St)
Haymarket, Sydney

Pablo has its origins in Japan but has now spread to Australia. In a prime position in Haymarket this store attracts plenty of customers and regularly has a queue at busy times. Drawing its name from the creations of Pablo Picasso, this place looks wet to stay for a while.

As this was our first venture to Pablo's we chose the classic cheese tart. This is a take away place so we did just that - bought and took it away. The cheesecake was very light - not the heavier baked New York style. It was a light flaky pastry and a delicate dessert that tasted good.

In the larger size there were two other options apart from the traditional variety. You can also have matcha cheese tart or the premium cheese tart. Both looked good so there are some hard choices next time we visit.

Of course for a snack there are the smaller versions available too. This just makes it that much harder to choose what to have!

We enjoyed our dessert from Pablo. It’s a tasty treat that isn’t heavy and it’s a nice way to finish off a night in the Haymarket area. The only decision left is what to choose next time?
